Out of 26 applicants, the Bessemer City Council has chosen three people to interview for the position of city manager. According to TheDailyGlobe, the council held a closed session earlier in the week, and after, Mayor Adam Zak said he’s not sure if any of them will accept the offer to interview, but three have been chosen. Zak also said that none of the three are local. Two are from Michigan and one is from the eastern United States. Interviews are scheduled at a special council meeting on October 9th. The 22nd was the last day of work for former City Manager Jennifer Adams. Mandy Lake of Wakefield will be taking over as Clerk/Treasurer on Monday.
