Ashland County Residents May Have to Foot the Bill for Sanborn’s Financial Issues

ASHLAND – In an attempt to balance the books for the town of Sanborn, residents of Ashland County may see an increase in their property taxes. According to TheDailyPress, the county administrator let the Finance and Economic Development Committee member know that Sanborn had submitted chargeback requests to the state department of revenue, which have been approved on a preliminary basis. The county stands to be charged just over $150,000. How much that translates to on a household by household basis has yet to be determined.
