Vilas County will be looking to fill a couple of new positions soon. According to TheLakelandTimes, the county’s law enforcement and emergency management committee discussed hiring two new school resource officers at a meeting this past Monday. The new job description will be reviewed by the human resources office and the finance committee to determine what the salaries would be for the positions. The committee will hear those numbers at its next meeting, and then the resolution will go to the county board on the 22nd for approval. One officer will work Northland Pines and Phelps and the other would be shared by North Lakeland and Arbor Vitae-Woodruff schools.
