On Friday, Gogebic Community College held an open house for those interested in mechanics and technology. The Mechatronics program is designed to enhance the possibility of employment after graduation from the college. The program is hoped to address the shortage of qualified candidates in the electronics industry, involving knowledge of controls and sensors. Right now the program only has a few students, hence the open house. The course presents an excellent opportunity for those interested in making a career change.
