Vilas County Board of Supers Say Yes to Using ARPA Funds for Several Projects

Three resolutions that would be funded by ARPA moneys have passed a vote by the Vilas County board. TheLakelandTimes reports the three projects totaling just over 1.3 million dollars include, tablets for squad cars in the Vilas County Sheriff’s Department fleet, purchase and installation of a bypass valve as part of a water heater and heat exchanger replacement project, and the largest expenditure, funding of the final phase of replacing the generators at the courthouse, and justice center, as well as the county highway shop and forestry office in Eagle River and the county’s highway shop in Boulder Junction. After these expenditures, Vilas County has $1.2 million in ARPA funds remaining.
