Sixth Avenue in Ashland to Finally Start Seeing Repairs

A new contract with a paving company will hopefully end the difficulties anyone who drives on Sixth Street West in Ashland is encountering. According to TheAshlandDailyPress, roadwork has taken a year to begin, after a lawsuit filed by the city with the company who did the initial rebuild settled. However, the money the city needed to make needed repairs was not what was hoped for. The rebuild of Sixth Street from Ellis Avenue to Sanborn Avenue is a start and President of the City Council Charlie Ortman says its a solution that will provide a smooth, driveable road which is what Ashland motorists were promised.
