Local Lake About to Be Taken Over By Boat Racers

Sunday Lake will be closed to public use starting Monday as nearly 400 racers are expected to compete in the American Power Boat Association’s National Boat Races. Trials will take place on Monday, followed by races from Tuesday through Saturday. According to TheDailyGlobe, the president of Forward Wakefield says lets go. Stock and Modified as well as Junior divisions will be held. There’s a new feature this year, a marathon boat exhibition race. And if the races aren’t enough, there’ll be a small craft show and food and beverages available at Eddy Park. Admission to the event is free.
