The crowdfunding campaign to build a new playground at Hiawatha Park in Ironwood continues. Hiawatha Park was originally established with the installation of the statue Hiawatha in 1964. The Hiawatha Park improvements will add ADA playground structures and surface to the park, making it even more attractive. The goal for the fund is $50,000, and the city will receive matching funds from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. The Crowdfunding campaign runs through September 13th.
