The UP Regional Blood Center is asking for the public’s help. UPRBC is experiencing a critical shortage of A positive, A negative and O negative blood types. All blood donations stay in the U.P., and a single donation of any of those blood types, plasma or platelets could help three of your neighbors. UPBRC has donation sites in Marquette, Hancock and Escanaba and provides blood products to 13 hospitals in the U.P. Anyone making a donation in July is eligible to receive a $20 gift card, courtesy of the Landmark Inn in Marquette.
