The city of Wakefield has been looking for a new treasurer to replace Mandy Lake, who gave her resignation this past Spring, to no avail. TheDailyGlobe reports at the city council meeting early last week, it was decided to change direction. The city has been looking for someone sine mid May, with no qualified candidates. The city will now be looking for a full time deputy treasurer, who could then transition into the treasurers position with some job experience. If that is the case, then current treasurer Lake will transition to part time for a while, train the new candidate and then leave the position when the new deputy treasurer is up to speed.
