Volunteers Needed for Tomorrows Ashland Cleanup Day

This past winter’s record-breaking snowfall has brought both benefits and challenges to the U.P., including postponing a lot of Earth Day Celebrations from the end of April. TheDailyNews reports the city is observing a belated Earth Day tomorrow, with a community-wide trail cleanup and tree dedication. The event begins at Central Railyard Park, Bay Area environmental groups will be on hand to help inform volunteers on how they can help create a greener Ashland. Volunteers are still needed, and are asked to gather behind the Bretting Center in Central Railyard Park at 9 am to pick up supplies and get directions. More information can be obtained from Ashland Parks and Rec.
