A new hybrid social services group has formed in the U.P. The Copper Shores Community Health Foundation will be made up of Portage Health Foundation, Dial Help, and Copper Country Senior Meals. TV6News reports the transition will allow the new foundation to serve the community more directly. President of the new Foundation, Kevin Store says the foundation will better serve those residents in Ontonagon, Baraga, Houghton and Keweenaw counties and will help fill the gaps in essential services.
