Some haze and smoke may continue over the U.P. this morning. The 3000 acre fire located just southeast of Grayling in the northern part of the state is to blame. The source of the fire, which started Saturday, was a campfire on private property near Staley Lake. The MDNR reports that as of yesterday morning the fire was 85% contained. The Michigan Department of Evironmental Quality says an air quality alert continues through the morning, those with sensitive respiratory systems should exercise caution.
