Lac du Flambeau Town Council Considers Road Work Bid

Lac du Flambeau Town Board Chairman Matt Gaulke took time out of the room during the board’s meeting last week when discussion regarding bids for roadwork on Plummer Lake Road was held. According to TheLakelandTimes, Gaulke works for Pitlik and Wick, the company that submitted a bid of just over $111,000 for work on a stretch of road from North Bolton Lake Lane to West Plummer Lake Road. The company has submitted previous bids for work on another section of West Plummer Lake Road. The newest bid will be evaluated by the town’s road foreman and if he qualifies it, it will then be up for further consideration and possible approval. Funding for the project will come from town road budget and from American Rescue Plan Act money.
