Sharp criticisms of the Lac du Flambeau tribe on social media has prompted the town board to ask that those posting those types of comments stop. TheLakelandTimes reports that the board says those actions detract from the ability of the town and the tribe to negotiate together toward a common goal. Negotiations between the town and the Lac du Flambeau tribe continue, with the town now also being sued by the Department of Justice regarding the tribe’s contentions. The town board also states that intolerance only inflames emotions when what is needed is reason and mutual respect if a satisfactory resolution to the matter for all is to be obtained.
