A plea has been entered in Vilas County Court in the case of a former math teacher accused of possessing child pornography. According to TheLakelandTimes, Lucas Aschbrenner’s arraignment was midweek last week, where he pleaded not guilty to charges related to a search warrant that found explicit internet searches related to child pornography and pedophilia as well as downloaded images depicting naked children. Each count he’s charged with holds a maximum sentence of 25 years in prison and or $100,000 fine. Aschbrenner is free on a $25,000 cash bond and may not leave Vilas or Oneida counties. He’ll appear in court on October 3rd for a pretrial hearing.
