Ashland Firework Show Seeking Public Donations

Fourth of July is just around the corner, and many communities in the U.P. put on a fireworks show each year. TheAshlandDailyPress reports the cost for an average show runs about $20,000. In Ashland, Mark Drolson is in charge of the display and he likes to make sure the show has plenty of spectacular moments. Last year, however, he had to shorten the show to just 16 minutes to fit within budget. This year, Drolson is reaching out to the community for help with funding so that the show can be almost a half hour. Drolson says if people would donate, it would help make the show this year a great one. You can stop by Northern State Bank and make a donation in the name of Celebrations, Inc.
