Officials from FEMA will soon be in the U.P. to inspect damage in seven counties, including Alger, Baraga, Gogebic, Houghton, Iron, Marquette and Ontonagon. News10 says agency representatives will be reviewing the condition of public infrastructure only. Assistance for individual homes and homeowners will come from the state’s Small Business Association, and inspection will be done separately from FEMA. After FEMA conducts inspections, the agency will review it’s findings and after that opportunities for assistance will be opened up and announced.
