Medical marijuana may be on the way to becoming legal in Wisconsin. WXPR reports Democrativtic Governor Tony Evers says he’s likely to sign a medical marijuana bill if one is presented and Republicans in the Assembly are discussing the possibility. Evers says he’d like to see a path towards both medical and recreational marijuana, but that right now medical would see the path of least resistance. And Evers says that people are voting with their feet on the topic of legalizing marijuana, taking their dollars out of Wisconsin and spending them in Illinois and Michigan, where marijuana is legal.
