State Bridge Project in the Area Continues

Work has begun on the last of four bridges in Ontonagon and Iron counties that have been part of a $4.9 million project by the Michigan Department of Transportation. The work on the US-141 bridge over the East Branch of the Net River will involve deck replacement, substructure repairs, scour countermeasures, beam end repairs, steel cleaning and coating, and roadway approach work. The M-64 bridge over Floodwood River, M-64 bridge over Halfway Creek, and US-45 bridge over Roselawn Creek were completed last year. The bridge will be open during the work, with one lane open using temporary traffic signals. There will also be an 11 foot width restriction. The work on the US-141 bridge over the East Branch of the Net River is expected to finish at the end of October.
