A property on Main Street in Ashland that the city is considering buying may need repairs totaling upwards of $1 million. TheDailyPress reports the property at 514 Main Street West is for sale by the county for $80,000. The county used the building for its Health and Human Services Department and moved due to the need for repairs to the building and the city’s plan would be to refurbish it then market it to developers who would then perhaps put a restaurant in the ground floor and apartments in the second floor. If the city decides to make the purchase, it could use American Rescue Plan Act funds.
