Ashland County Jail Administrator Put on Paid Administrative Leave

The Ashland County Jail administrator who was involved in a single car accident with his vehicle early Sunday morning has been put on paid administrative leave. The AshlandDailyPress reports Kyle Cadotte was suspended on Monday, over a week after the accident. The accident occurred on Mountain Road near Bell. Cadotte’s truck drifted off the road, hit a mailbox, jumped a driveway and ran into a ditch and then left the scene. Officers called to the scene found an empty alcoholic seltzer can in his vehicle. The crash report listed alcohol as a possible factor in the accident. Cadotte was promoted to administrator, although he had no previous experience in the position, after former Jail Administrator Lt. Kim Lavasseur was fired.
