Ashland and Memorial Medical Center Get Help to Develop More Biking Opportunities in the Area

Ashland and Memorial Medical Center have received a grant from the International Mountaqin bike Association to develop a plan for off-road trails on the medical center property. The AshlandDailyPress reports that after a visit from a representative of the International Mountain Bike Association, expansion plans for a trail across Ashland, including the medical Center property as well as the Bay City Creek Corridor and a bike park in Central Railyard Park. Biking is among one of the more popular pastimes in the area, and expansion of trails would possibly bring more tourists to Ashland. A proposed budget for the expansion is next on hte agenda, with initial estimates reaching just under $750,000 on the high end.
