More Shopping to Become Available in Washburn…
Another Dollar General store may soon open in the area. The Ashland DailyPress reports the discount store took the next step towards starting construction in Washburn, when the planning committee gave it’s final approval of plans for the store. The proposal for the new building has met all city requirements, so the plan is that groundbreaking on the 10,000 sq ft store where the C.R. Treasures is on the south side of Bayfield is slated to start in Spring. that area of the city is zoned for businesses of 5,000 sq ft or less, so there may still be a hurdle, but most likely not. The planning committee voted unanimously to approve the construction application.
