Not Even COVID Could Stop Historic Theater’s Reign in Ironwood
Although shutting down the Ironwood Theater during COVID was a scary proposition, management saw the opportunity to improve the theater during the hiatus. With help from the community and a couple of grants, the theater was able to replace the 70 year old movie screen, as well as putting in a new projector and sound system at a cost of $70.000. Ironwood Theater President Zona Wick says without the theater most in the area would have to drive an hour or more to see a movie. Movies are now being shown on a regular basis and the schedule can be found on the theater’s Facebook page.
