The Downtown Art Place in Ironwood has received a $16,250 grant to put towards the center’s heating and light project, which is estimated to cost around $31,000. The funding will come ffrom the Michigan Arts and Culture Fund. City Manager Paul Anderson also took a moment during the City Commission’s first meeting of the year to praise all the volunteers involved with SISU Fest, recounting the success of the event, and commenting on just how much work the event takes to put on.
