Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers has declared a state-wide energy emergency, lifting some federal and state regulations for deliveries of home heating fuels in order to get them to those in need as quickly as possible. News9 reports that with winter weather in the area for the last two weeks and the subsequent issues with ice and snow building up and snapping trees causing line issues, the emergency declaration will trigger a 10-day waiver for those providing energy emergency response supplies. Temporarily lifting those regulations will make it easier for utility crews to restore power.
