School Threat in Eagle River Investigated by Vilas County Sheriff’s Department

The Vilas County Sheriff’s Department and the Northland Pines School District in Eagle River, Wisconsin are in the process of investigating a school threat involving two students yesterday. School District Administrator Scott Foster issued a statement that said “ “The Northland Pines School District administration, in partnership with the Vilas County Sheriff’s Department, have conducted a thorough investigation regarding reports of a threat between middle school students shared Monday morning. At no time was there information to support that any staff or students would be in danger. Even so, the potential threat was taken seriously and any student involved will be held accountable by the school district; we will support all involved and our local law enforcement will complete their process. No further information has been released and the investigation into the incident continues.
