A Vilas County corrections officer has been terminated after being arrested in Oneida County and charged with retail theft last weekend. The LakelandTimes reports Daniel Raphael De La Vega of Rhinelander was a probationary employee, and had only been with the county for five months. De La Vega was released from the Oneida County Jail on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in court in Oneida on the 21st.
