There are three Ashland City Council seats open for the next election coming up April 4th. The DailyPress reports the District 2 seat currently filled by Sarah Jackson, the District 6 seat held by Charlie Ortman and the District 4 seat which is vacant will all be on the ballot. If one would like to run for any of the seats, registration and nomination papers are available at the Ashland City Clerk’s office at City Hall or at coawi.org. Paperwork is due in the clerk’s office by January 3rd. Nomination papers can be circulated starting December 1st.
