DNR Gives Deer Season Update

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources has given an update on how harvest reporting has been going. Hunters have already reported nearly 70,000 deer taken, with roughly 81% of harvest reports being accomplished in five minutes or less. The DNR is aware the new reporting system will take some time for hunters to become familiar with, but the direct data obtained will provide a much clearer picture of whats needed in future deer management decisions. With archery season underway and firearm season about to begin, a reminder to please report your harvest within 72 hours. You can download the Michigan DNR Hunt Fish app from your phone’s app store.
