An Ashland woman could be on the way to international fame…for her baking skills. The DailyPress reports Nicole Bichanich is competing in the Greatest Baker challenge, where home bakers and professionals from all over the world compete online for a $10,000 prize and to be featured in the Bake From Scratch magazine. Bichanich has been baking since she was young, taking over from her mom at a certain point, cooking meals and baking for her family. Nicole has submitted pictures of her best cakes and breads and is now waiting for the judge’s evaluation and the winner to be announced on December 29th. In the meantime, she continues to work on recipes, because in the end, she says the best thing about what she does is sharing what she makes with those closest to her.
