The father of the 5 year old girl who died in a car crash that involved Wisconsin Democratic Senate Minority Leader Janet Bewley has filed a wrongful death suit against the Senator. The suit was filed this past Friday in Ashland Circuit Court by Brandon Fink on behalf of Khaleesi Fink who died along with her mothr Alyssa Ortman this past July. According to CBS Minnesota and the Associated Press, the police report stated that Bewley was distracted by her mobile phone at the time of the accident. Ashland County District Attorney David Meany said that any decision on whether to pursue charges is pending a complete review of the case and it’s unclear how long that process may take.
