Bayfield residents continue to have concerns regarding the local post office, which has had staffing issues. According to the Ashland Daily Press, a note on the lobby door on Monday said the office was closed due to staffing issues and had been closed since September 27th. Residents say in some cases they haven’t received mail for weeks. A communications representative for USPS said management in Bayfield was aware of the staffing issues and were addressing the problem. Residents are concerned, as they are not receiving bills and other important correspondence that is time sensitive.
