The Ashland City Council is expected to discuss and perhaps move ahead with a housing development proposed by a local business owner. The DailyPress reports business owner wants to build new apartments and move some of his existing rentals there as well. Scott Breiling is asking the city to give him the land and contribute to the cost of the development. Part of any development agreement would include building a timeline for the project. Breiling plans to move his existing businesses would leave a square block vacant along Lake Shore Drive and Marshfield Clinic has inquired about developing the Lake Shore Drive property if it comes available.
