The three young men from Ashland involved in a car crash on Highway 2 on Sunday night have been identified. Collin Smith was a passenger in the car that left the highway on a curve and crashed into a treat east of the roundabout in Bayfield County. He was transported to Memorial Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. Both the driver, Marcus Agostine and passenger Preston Edwards were tranported to MMC then transferred to hospitals in Duluth for additional treawtment. Dispatch records reflect someone reporting that the car had been driving erratically before the crash. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
