With Fall on the way, the Michigan Department of Natural Resources wants to remind you to choose your firewood carefully. Using wood that comes from outside the area you’re staying in could spread invasive species of insects that are harmful to trees. In the U.P., beech and ash trees as well as invasive species are moved around the area through human activity.
