New Ontonagon Superintendent Attends First Board of Ed Meeting

The new superintendent of the Ontonagon Area School District attended her first regular board of education meeting on Monday. The DailyGlobe reports Lisa Johnson was in attendance when the board approved a resolution for a bond proposal that would raise money to purchase four new school buses. The resolution will appear on the November ballot, with the new proposed millage of .7 mills for five years replacing an already existing .7 mill levy. The buses wil lbe purchased over three years, replacing the current aging fleet.
