Lake Gogebic Boat Ramp to Close For Repairs Next Week

Work at the Lake Gogebic State Park boat ramp begins a week from today. As reported in the Daily Globe, repairs to damaged ramp planks will take about two weeks, with boaters being able to access the lake at four other points, Bergland Township Park, located 10 miles north of the park; a ramp along the East Shore Road, 14 miles from the park on the east side of the lake; Ontonagon County Park, 6 miles north of the state park on M-64; and at the Gogebic County Park, which is 6 miles south of the park off M-64. Work should take about two weeks, with the ramp scheduled to reopen after the beginning of September.
