Wakefield Master Plan Getting Some Much Needed Attention

The city of Wakefield will soon begin working on a revision of the city’s master plan. According to the Daily Globe, City Manager Robert Brown Jr. said work will begin in about a month. The plan hasn’t been revised for a couple of decades, and the council will enlist the public in providing input on what needs to be addressed. There will be online and in-person opportunities for locals to contribute. The Council voted to approve a joint funding system in which the Michigan Economic Development Commission, will provide $20,000 in initial funding and the city will chip in $14,500.
