The Gogebic-Ontonagon Community Action Agency has been awarded a $25,000 grant from the State Farm Neighborhood Assist program. This spring, more than 88,000 people cast votes in support of their favorite causes, resulting in 100 communities in 34 state receiving a grant through the program. The check presentation was held this past Tuesday at the Ironwood Headstart site located at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ironwood. State Farm Neighborhood Assist is a crowd-sourced philanthropic program that empowers communities to identify issues in their neighborhoods.
