Ironwood Football Program Benefits From U.P. All Star Game

The Ironwood, Norway, and Mid Pen football programs will each receive $1,000 donations from proceeds from the U.P. Football All-Star Game. According to the RRN, the goal of the game was to be able to donate to high school football programs in the U.P. Schools are picked at random every year, and the donation can be used towards whatever the team needs. The lottery continues until all teams have received the award and then the lottery starts over again. In addition, the Black and Red All-Star head coaches will receive half of the footballs used during the week leading up to the game, and all of the practice jerseys are donated to U.P. football programs.
