The Ironwood City Commission has passed a new budget for fiscal year 2022-2023. The new budget came in at just over $15,ooo,ooo. Paul Lind, county finance director and treasurer reminded the committee and the public in attendance that the budget can be amended any time as needed. The vote on the budget was unanimous and authorizes the related 29.6415 mill levy, which includes 19.2 mills for the general fund, the same as the previous year and the remaining millage funding the library, the Civic Center, the 2015 Street Bond Debt Service, and the police/fire pension fund.
