Memorial Day in Ironwood A Solemn Observation

A parade that started at the Memorial Building in Ironwood and ended at the Ironwood cemetery, was followed by services in observance of Memorial Day and the U.S. military personnel who have fallen in the line of duty at the Riverside Cemetery in Ironwood on Monday. Hosted by the Ironwood American Legion Post 11, Junior ROTC instructor and retired Army colonel David Manki was the opening guest speaker, Ironwood Mayor Kim Corcoran made a statement on the importance of Memorial Day and Pastor Tom Rouse delivered an invocation prayer and benediction at the event. Wreaths were placed by American Legion and auxiliary members. The memorial choir with the Luther L. Wright band performed several hymns and the national anthem.
