The Ironwood Board of Education approved the 2022-23 school calendar at their regular meeting on Monday. The calendar, according to Superintendent Travis Powell, will have a few differences. The first semester of the year will end before winter break rather than after, which means students won’t have to prepare for exams over break. December 21 will also be a half day, so that teachers can complete any end of semester work. The second difference is the introduction of four snow days one each in February, March, April and May. If there are fewer than six snow days, there will be no school and they’ll count as vacation days.
