At the City Council meeting earlier in the week, the Hurley street commissioner and water manager gave public works updates. Scott Santini said there was a serious issue with a drain on fifth avenue that will need to be replaced and the council voted to do so. He also said School District banners were put up along Silver Street to celebrate the class of 2022’s graduation on the 28th and that once they were taken down they’d need to be replaced, which the council agreed to draw funds to pay for new banners.
