Two officers from the Gogebic County Sheriff’s Office were recoginized last week for meritorious service in capturing a murder suspect on Christmas Eve 2021. The Daily Globe reports the awards were presented at the Gogebic County Board of Commissioner’s meeting this past Wednesday. In a letter of commendation from Sheriff Ross Solberg, Deputies Josh Elias and Adam Graser were praised for their apprehension of the suspect without incident. Board of Commissioners Chair Jim Lorenson say their actions were a great testimony to the deparment, themselves and to the county.
