Fines at Wakefield Library May Be A Thing of the Past

The Wakefield Library has announced they’ll continue to forgive all overdue fines for the year through the end of the month. The Daily Globe reports that Librarian Carly Rusch said the reprieve is due to the pandemic, and although fines aren’t that much, every little bit helped during such tight economic times. Rusch says the library board is still undecided on whether they’ll start charging fines again or forego them altogether. She also said the library board will discuss the issue of fines at their next meeting on the 25th.
