Erickson Leaving as City Manager, Will Stay on As Engineer Til New Manager Found

City Manager Scott Erickson announced he was stepping down from his position last week, and made plans with the Ironwood City Commission at their last meeting on Monday how he will spend his las six week. His position as manager ends on June 6th, but he will stay on as city engineer until a new manager is found. According to the Daily Globe, after Erickson steps down in June, Andrew DiGiorgio direct of the Ironwood Public Safety Department will serve as interim city manager. Once a new City Manager is found , Erickson says he intends to retire from public service but will remain in Ironwood as he and his wife consider it their home.
