At the meeting of the Hurley City Council last Tuesday, Joanne Bruneau, the city’s first female mayor was sworn in. The Daily Globe reports new alderpersons Joseph Pinardi and Rita Franzoi took their oaths of office for their seats on the city council. The council also held a restructuring meeting, where the official depositories and newspaper were re-designated. The council also appointed a new accessor in Eau Claire based Appraisal Services and Data Processing Systems, Inc. They also adopted Robert’s rules of Order for conducting city council meetings.
